Respected as a master teacher of skills, a superb strategist, and a "craftsman" of quality ball players, Bragg Stockton has had a record as a marvelously successful baseball coach.
Through three decades of coaching, Stockton has had a career win-loss average of over 70
He has coached on a high school, junior college, and Division 1 NCAA level and posted 1014 career wins. His teams at Jesse H. Jones High School, San Jacinto College, Texas ChristianUniversity and the University of Houston have all earned national rankings. Jr. College World Series, SWC tournaments, and NCAA regional playoffs highlighted Stockton's career.
Stockton has received numerous Coach of the Year awards, several of which were presented by the Texas Sports Writers Association and the National Junior College Athletic Association. Coach Stockton has been a popular speaker at the NCAA Coaching Conventions, various State Coaches Clinics, the Westchester Sports Clinic, and the Ontario best Ever Coaching Clinic.
Dr. Stockton's ability to convey his baseball knowledge to players of all ages has been the essence of his summer Skills & Drills Baseball Camps where thousands of youths have developed their playing skills.
Since retiring from coaching on a collegiate level at the University of Houston in May of 94, Coach Stockton is currently devoting attention to administering year around camps for players of all ages and conducting coaching clinics.
He also conducts private, small group and team lessons within youth leagues. He continues to have his coaching book, Coaching Baseball: Skills & Drills, and his video 12-tapes series Baseball Skills & Drills in high demand.
